Latest Updates from Our Project:

Shorts are shipped and shipping!
over 9 years ago – Wed, Sep 14, 2016 at 11:31:22 AM

EDIT: Just talked to the fulfillment a few minutes after I posted this update -- the vast majority of shorts will be shipped today, but a small number might be shipped tomorrow.

Hello friends,

Your shorts have either already shipped or are being shipped today / tomorrow! Some of you have already received tracking numbers, and the vast majority of tracking numbers will be sent out by tomorrow. For US-based orders, shipping time will be 1-5 business days.

Your shorts...

A quick reminder about the features of your shorts: 4-way stretch + moisture-wicking fabric for working out, 4 stabilized zip pockets (dance and run with all of your stuff!), and a secret travel pocket in the waistband and behind the drawstring. And of course, you can wear these shorts in water as well!

To access the secret travel pocket, flip the waistband inside out. In the middle of your short (on the other side of the drawstring), there's a velcro opening.

For your shorts to last as long as possible, turn the shorts inside out, wash using permanent press, in cold or warm water. For drying, the best thing is to hang dry, but tumble dry low is okay.

We've learned some lessons!

We are so sorry about the delay. Our manufacturer misprinted the address, and then UPS had issues with the redelivery. We should have updated you, but there were multiple points along the way when we thought we'd make the September 9th ship date. When we went over that time, we decided to update once we shipped, since it was only a difference of 1 business day. But that was the wrong way of thinking. We've learned that constant, constant communication is key.

But this won't happen again because...

In addition to Wu & Y, we're launching an experimental art clothing line and a charity clothing line in early October. And they will be made in LA and on-demand, with a turn-around time of 3-5 days. Although producing abroad is cheaper, we want to support the local economy, work with completely transparent manufacturers, eliminate clothing waste, and reduce the environmental impact of production / shipping. Just as importantly, this allows us to create more designs and get you your clothes faster. Stay tuned for more info!

Want more shorts? Friends want shorts?

Our online store goes live this Friday!

Thank you for joining us on our journey. We appreciate your support, every step along the way. We're still learning from our mistakes, but we're also supremely confident that we've made a product you will love. Please shoot any questions, feedback, or suggestions to [email protected]. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Peace and love,

The Wu & Y Team

Thank you all.

What a journey it's been! To our backers and supporters, thank you all so much for supporting us. Raising 8x our goal was a huge surprise, and we're thrilled that people love our shorts. This also gives us a chance to do some cool stuff for the fall.

But what excites us the most is getting you your shorts -- so please read on!

Please fill out your surveys by next Monday (7/18)!

Everybody should have received an email from BackerKit with instructions on how to let us know your design and fit choices, as well as your address for shipping. The deadline to complete the survey is next Monday, July 18th.

Shipping Date

If everybody fills out the survey by next Monday, then we are still on target for a shipping date in late August. If anything should change, we will let you know immediately.
